"Pon maalai pozhudhu" is something I listen to somewhat often, but can't recollect so far, let's see. :)Kaushikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08571480761937778118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1435725368489982417.post-40650352336022942342009-12-23T10:43:16.239+05:302009-12-23T10:43:16.239+05:30And, I'm sure you'll go long in your pursu...And, I'm sure you'll go long in your pursuit :) I think any listener/learner/practitioner starts their journey by comparing new songs to familiar ones, then slowly get raaga names, and on and on.. Super example is my amma. She never learned music. Since my high school days, kaalankaarthalerndhu radio/tv la paattu odinde irukkum.I'd be bombarded with raaga questions. Naanum edho thadavuven, but I got better at guessing, and amma is really good too now! Now,that's even inspired her to learn music formally :)Meerahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10623328854437815472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1435725368489982417.post-51826854736429135002009-12-23T10:37:06.193+05:302009-12-23T10:37:06.193+05:30Good post,Cow(told you I'd read it 'proper...Good post,Cow(told you I'd read it 'properly' sometime, didn't I? :P)
Alaipayudhe kanna, Kalyana then nila and listen to Poomaalai vaangivandhan(from Sindhu Bhairavi)
And, try listening to 'Pon maalai pozhudhu', one of my top favourites, and I'm sure you can find similarities with another Raja sir song we were listening to/ talking about recently.
