Each reason can be pointed out and said as "Yeah, this is why they lost" and it would be correct, but not correct enough. BJP did not portray any more hard-core Hindutva this time than they did before. So attributing the defeat to Ram Mandir and Hindutva is probably not fair, they focussed on a lot of issues, but didn't have a single focus. Anyhow, that's not the issue.
